3 Setting Up
Important!
Note:
Switch ON any radio microphones, personal monitor transmitters, etc. (in-
c
luding even those made by other manufacturers) except for your IVM 4500
system! This is the only way to make sure the receiver will find frequencies
t
hat will be free of any mutual interference during the performance.
2. On the first receiver, find the nearest clean Subchannel of the selected Fre-
q
uency Group:
In SETUP mode, turn the Jog switch CW or CCW as many times as needed
t
o call up the "AUTO" and "CH" labels on the display.
Select the desired Frequency Group.
The frequency search starts automatically. The "FREE" tag incidactes how
many clean frequencies have been found. If this number is zero, you can
raise the squelch threshold and try again. Remember, though, that a higher
s
quelch threshold reduces the system range.
Clean frequencies are frequencies where the receiver finds no RF signal or an
RF signal whose level is lower than the set threshold.
3. Tune the transmitter assigned to the first receiver to the same frequency that you
selected on the receiver and switch power to the transmitter on.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each channel.
